About the Role
We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Compliance Operations Associate to support the day-to-day execution of our compliance program.
You'll play a key role in customer due diligence, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, investigations, regulatory reporting, and compliance operations activities. This role is ideal for someone early in their compliance career who is looking to deepen their expertise in AML/CFT, financial crime compliance, and regulatory operations while working in a fast-paced fintech and cryptocurrency environment.

What You'll Be Owning
Compliance Operations
Track compliance requests, action items, and remediation activities.
Support audits, regulatory examinations, and internal reviews.
Ensure compliance trackers remain accurate and up to date.
Assist in maintaining compliance policies, procedures, and operational documentation.
Maintain the compliance calendar, including regulatory deadlines, licence renewals, and statutory filings.
AML/CFT Operations
Review customer onboarding applications and perform KYC and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) checks.
Conduct Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews for high-risk customers.
Escalate suspicious activities and support the preparation of Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs).
Maintain accurate records of investigations, decisions, and supporting evidence.
Sanctions & Screening
Review sanctions screening matches and determine whether alerts are true or false positives.
Support ongoing customer and transaction screening activities.
Assist with the implementation and maintenance of screening rules and controls.
Monitoring & Reporting
Prepare periodic compliance reports.
Monitor key compliance metrics and identify emerging risks or trends.
Assist in the testing and review of compliance controls.
Your First 90 Days
By Day 90, you'll be expected to:
Complete onboarding and obtain access to all compliance tools and systems.
Develop a strong understanding of Quidax's business, compliance processes, and regulatory requirements.
Review and demonstrate understanding of Quidax's AML Policy, Sanctions Policy, and KYC/KYB Procedures.
Independently handle Level 1 KYC reviews with supervision.
Complete at least one end-to-end STR/SAR case from alert to filing with guidance.

Reviewing and resolving compliance alerts accurately and within established SLAs.
Conducting KYC, CDD, EDD, sanctions screening, and transaction monitoring reviews with strong attention to detail.
Maintaining audit-ready documentation and investigation records.
Identifying opportunities to reduce false positives and improve case management processes.
Keeping pace with compliance requirements while supporting a fast-growing business.
Building expertise in compliance systems, policies, and regulatory requirements.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree.
0–2 years of experience in Compliance, AML, Financial Crime, Risk, Operations, Banking, Fintech, Cryptocurrency, or related fields.
Understanding of AML/CFT regulations, sanctions compliance, and customer due diligence requirements.
Strong analytical and investigative skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Nice to Have
Experience in a fintech, payment services, digital assets, or cryptocurrency company.
Professional certifications such as DCP or equivalent.

Reporting Line
You'll report to the Director, Compliance and work closely with the wider Compliance team to support Quidax's AML/CFT, sanctions, regulatory, and compliance operations activities.
